Midhurst is about seven miles due south of Haslemere at the crossroads of the Sussex Downs with Petersfield eight miles to the west and Petworth six miles to the east along the A272. Chichester is about eleven miles to the south and Liphook eight miles to the north west. Fast trains to London (Waterloo) take a little over an hour.
