Queens Mews is situated close to shops off Queen Street and within walking distance of Deal station. The development consists of 31 flats with communal facilities completed in 1986.

Facilities include a visiting manager and emergency alarm service, communal lounge, laundry and guest facilities.

Deal is near to where Julius Caesar landed in the 1st century BC and is mentioned as Addela in Domesday and belonged to Archdeacon Ansketel. It has a mainly pebble beach with boats drawn up to the road facing Georgian houses. Henry VIII built the unusual Deal Castle in the shape of a an excavated six petalled flower. Ships have to pass close inshore to avoid the Goodwin Sands, a sad fate that some failed as recorded by Robert Leslie. Deal became one of the Cinque Ports and is now a popular resort with an attractive walk along the cliffs to St Margaret-at-Cliffe.
