Burcot Court is just 2 miles from Sutton Coldfield. There are 39 apartments in all and the Court is constructed around a sympathetically renovated Edwardian House in landscaped gardens overlooking Sutton Park. There are good local leisure facilities and Burcot Court has its own lively social calendar with events, activities and visits arranged by the Owners themselves.

Facilities : To compliment the individual private apartments or bungalows, at every Court there are extensive communal facilities including a very comfortable lounge, a dining room and a meeting room and all Courts have a guest suite available for Owners’ visitors or prospective purchasers who may be considering a move to the Court. All Courts have attractive gardens and landscaped areas which are carefully maintained.

Staffing and services available are greater than in traditional sheltered housing. A Manager ensures the smooth administration of the Court and in addition, a team of Duty Managers operate a rota system , 24 hours a day. A larger team of Housekeeping Assistants provide one-and-a-half hours of domestic help to each single Owner or couple every week as well as keeping the communal areas clean and tidy.

At each Court, a comfortable dining room provides a substantial meal every day, usually at lunch time at a modest price for everyone who wishes to have it. Meals can be taken to Owners who are unwell. Help can be offered to provide other meals and snacks if required.

Sutton Coldfield was known as Sutton in Coldfeud in the 13th century its name deriving from 'open land where charcoal is produced'. In the 16th century Bishop Vesey had several stone houses built many of which survive today and he was also responsible for founding the local grammar school.

Today the town is really a sought after residential area of Birmingham almost encircling Sutton Park, which with over 2000 acres given by Henry VIII, and with its beautiful tree lined walks and lakeside restaurants, is what remains of an extensive forest. There is also a golf course here.
