Elmwood Court is an attractive development of flats and bungalows set in landscaped grounds and adjacent to Elmwood Care Home. It is close to shops in Oakwood Parade and in a fashionable residential area. The development was completed in 1993 and is near Roundhay Park, once a royal hunting-ground, and now the largest local playground. Further prosperity followed as the Industrial Revolution brought new industries and wealth. Headingley is about three miles from the city centre.
