Seal: In Saxon times Seal was a hamlet having derived its name from either a 'Hall' within its boundaries or from the Anglo-Saxon 'Sealth' meaning sallow or willow. In the thirteenth century it held a market each week on a wednesday. Today there are several shops, inns and restaurants. Also a Post Office, Off Licence, Butcher and Library. The magnificent church of St Peter & St Paul with its fine Tudor tower continues to look over the village. This attractive village is on the main A25 about two miles north-east of Sevenoaks.

Facilities: These include a resident manager and emergency alarm service. Parking is to the east of the development with gardens to the rear. It is just a short walk to the shops and the Parish Church.
