Earley : Earley is about three miles south-east of Reading almost equidistant between Junctions 10 and 11 of the M4 motorway. Today Reading is a thriving centre with many shops, leisure facilites, cinemas and a renowned theatre, The Hexagon.

Reading has a long history starting with the Danes who settled here before the Battle of Ashdown when Alfred the Great, supporting his brother Aethelred, defeated them in 871. Reading Abbey was built in the 12th century and contains the burial site of Henry I but is now in ruins. The town prospered in the middle ages due to the wool trade. In 1972 The College of Estate Management became part of Reading Univeristy which was founded in 1926.

Communications with the rest of the country are very good with easy access to the M4 and M5 motorways and Reading Station is a major terminal for the north, west and south of the country.

Facilities : These include a resident manager and emergency alarm service and communal lounge. Reading ton centre is about two miles away.

Marlborough House : Marlborough House was completed in 1990 and consist of thirty-two flats in a single building off Northcroft Avenue which at this point runs parallel with the Shinfield Road (A327).
