Windrush Court is an attractive courtyard development of cottages and apartments in attractive grounds at the top of the High Street.

Facilities include an alarm service and visiting manager, and attractive gardens and grounds.

Burford is a delightful village in the valley of the River Windrush. Signs of a settlement date back to Roman times and by Saxon times the name 'Beorg Feorg' meaning fort by the ford was established. By the time of Domesday Book the village had a population of 200 and continued to prosper throughout the Middle Ages being a centre for the wool trade. By the middle of the eighteenth century forty coaches a day were passing through the village.
