Chesham : Chesham lies on the River Chess about four miles north of Amersham and was mentioned in Domesday as Cestreham and had four mills. It appears to derive its name from 'river-meadow by a heap of stones' and the river-name is a 'back-formation' of the place name. Today the town has good shopping, gardens and parks and several old houses in Church Street and the town hall is partly eighteenth century.

Facilities : These include a resident manager and emergency alarm service, communal lounge, guest facilities and gardens. It is just a short walk to the shops in the High Street.

Townbridge Court : Townbridge Court was completed in 1988 and consists of thirty flats off Germain Street close to the centre of Chesham. There is limited parking within the development.

Tenure: Leasehold
