Kingshill Gardens was built by Lansdown Homes and is well located on the edge of the small town of Nailsea and close to local shops which include a small supermarket, post office, newsagent and two inns. There are views over the surrounding countryside and excellent walks nearby. Altogether there are forty-five retirement properties in three different styles including bungalows and apartments.

Facilities include a resident manager and emergency alarm service, gardens and grounds and there is parking in the central courtyard.

Nailsea in the 12th century was known as Nailsi and got its name from 'island or dry ground in a marsh, of a man called Naegl'. The town remained a small village for much of the middle ages until the 18th century and the building of the glass works. Nailsea glass with its distinctive green colour became widely known especially in ornamental flasks, walking sticks and bells. The glass works closed in the late 19th century.
