Bede Village was built by De Montfort in 1989 and consists of 64 flats, bungalows and houses in Exhall just south of Bedworth. A local shop is within walking distance.

Facilities include a resident manager and emergency alarm service, communal lounge, restaurant, conservatory and gardens. There are self-contained close care flats within the development and Richmond Lodge, a care home.  The village provides independent living and active social life with regular events organised for all residents.

Bedworth is situated between Coventry and Nuneaton on the A444 and was mentioned in Domesday as Bedeword and derived its name from 'enclosure of a man called Beda'. In the early seventeenth century it was an isolated village eventually becoming a mining town. French Huguenots set up a community here bringing their cloth making expertise with them. To the north-west of Bedworth is Arbury Hall, regarded as the 'Gothic Gem' of the Midlands as a result of the modernising works overseen by Sir Roger Newdigate. The Hall is surrounded by beautiful parkland.
