Bede Village was built by De Montfort in 1989 and consists of 64 flats, bungalows and houses in Exhall just south of Bedworth. A local shop is within walking distance.

Bedworth is situated between Coventry and Nuneaton on the A444 and was mentioned in Domesday as Bedeword and derived its name from 'enclosure of a man called Beda'. In the early seventeenth century it was an isolated village eventually becoming a mining town. French Huguenots set up a community here bringing their cloth making expertise with them. To the north-west of Bedworth is Arbury Hall, regarded as the 'Gothic Gem' of the Midlands as a result of the modernising works overseen by Sir Roger Newdigate. The Hall is surrounded by beautiful parkland.
