Burton Homes consists of 12 one-bedroom bungalows built at the turn of the 19th century.

Facilities include non-resident management and emergency alarm service.

Newport lies about ten miles north-east of Cardiff and is situated at the mouth of the River Usk. It was formerly in the county of Monmouth formed in 1536 when Gwent was joined with Gwynllwg. There was an old Roman fort at Caerleon and the town grew up around its 'new castle' guarding the river crossing in the twelth century. Its Welsh name is Casnewydd. St Woolos's Church which has its origins in the Saxon period, became the cathedral of the diocese of Monmouth in 1921. The town has an unusual bridge which carries cars across the Usk six at a time. Today Newport has some good shopping and a variety of sporting and leisure facilities.
