The Hawthorns is situated off Carew Road close to shops and was completed in 2005.

Breakfast, lunch and supper is served in the dining room and there is also a private dining room. Apartments have built-in or walk-in wardrobes, a small tea bar with sink and fridge and the bathroom has a shower unit. Towels, linen and beds are provided.

Eastbourne is very much an elegant creation of the early 19th century with Victorian terraces and squares leading to a three mile esplanade. It owes its respectability to the 7th Duke of Devonshire who laid out the promenade and developed much of the coastal area.

Eastbourne is set at the foot of the South Downs close to Beachy Head and Pevensey Bay. The A27 passes to the north of the town connecting with Lewes and Brighton, about 18 miles and 27 miles respectively. Fast trains to London (Victoria) take about an hour and a half.
