Retirement Properties Spotlight in Kilmacolm

Kilmacolm : Kilmacolm is about 16 miles west of Glasgow between Port Glasgow and Bridge of Weir. The village has a long history starting with what is thought to have been a meeting betwen St Columbus and St Mungo, patron saint of Glasgow. In the middle ages the village was a farming community not expanding significantly until the 19th century with the coming of the railways. Outside the village Duchal castle dates back to the 13th century.
