Retirement Properties Spotlight in Kirkcaldy

Kirkcaldy : Kirkcaldy is about 12 miles northeast of Dunfermline on the east coast of Scotland on the northern shore of the Firth of Forth. The town developed in the middle ages finally achieving semi independence from the monks of Dunfermline Abbey in the 15th century. Later in the 19th century linoleum became a major commodity for export but this then declined in popularity in the 20th century. Kirkcaldy is the 'lang town' due to its unusually long High Street.
