Heathfield : Heathfield is a small market town on the edge of the Weald off the main A267 Tunbridge Wells to Eastbourne Road. For many years the area was well-known for cannon making due to the abundance of iron-ore deposits near the surface from the oak, elm and beech trees which once covered the valleys.
