Retirement Properties Spotlight in Northwood

Northwood : Northwood is about two miles to the northwest of Pinner and was known as 'Northwode' in the 15th century and was mostly agricultural land until the end of the 19th century when the Metropolitan Railway was opened. Northwood Station itself opened in 1887 and Northwood Hills further down the line in 1933. For many years Northwood has been the Royal Navy's base of operations and Britian's nuclear submarimes are directed from here. There are several golf courses nearby.
