Southgate Beaumont, Southgate‘s Close Care apartments, have been home to residents since 1997. The apartments have been designed so that they are easy to look after and do not require a lot of work. Each apartment is fitted with a nurse call located in the sitting room, each bedroom, and the bathroom and kitchen.

Because they are within Barchester Healthcare‘s Southgate Nursing Home residents are able to make full use of the optional services available at the Nursing Home within the comfort of their own apartment. It is just a short walk to Southgate Church, designed by Sir Gilbert Scott, and The Green. The area around The Green was a hamlet in the early years of the seventeenth century but today there are shops running down Canon Hill.

Southgate is about two miles from the North Circular in North London and eight miles from the Junction with the M1 at Hendon. The nearest station is Winchmore Hill and trains to London (Moorgate) take less than half an hour.
