Cheltenham is extremely well situated for road and rail communications in the west of the country. The A417 which pypasses Cirencester (17 miles) to the south connects with the M5 at J11A (5 miles) and the M4 at J15 (35 miles). Gloucester is nine miles and Stow-on-the-Wold 17 miles. Fast trains to London (Paddington) take a little over two hours.
