Relaxation and inclusion are also an important part of life at Locks Heath.  Space and time are made for residents to relax, reflect and have some me-time – Abbeyfield feel it’s important to balance this with exercise and socialising.

Respite support is offered and the team have supported several respite residents since the development opened. Abbeyfield are working closely with local hospitals to co-ordinate respite and even supported a local older person whose flat was flooded, who needed some temporary support and was referred to us by the Borough Council.

The Park Gate area of Southampton lies less than two miles from Junction 9 of the M27 offering easy travelling along the South Coast together with good connections to London either by rail or road. Fareham is four miles and Wickham seven miles. Gosport is nine miles. Trains from Swanwick to Southampton take about 20 minutes.
