Old Coulsdon once had one of the oldest cricket clubs in the country and in the late 18th to early 19th century had a particularly strong side with several internationals playing. Coulsdon is about 13 miles south of London and about five miles north of Reigate. Banstead to the west is about three miles and Croydon four miles. The M25 at Junction 9 is about four miles and fast trains to London (Victoria) take about 25 minutes.
