Hollymere is situated off New Grosvenor Road within walking distance of shops and Ellesmere Port station. The development consists of 77 flats with communal facilities completed in 2009.

Ellesmere Port is where the village of Netherpool used to be before the Ellesmere Canal was connected to the Mersey in the late 18th century. The town expanded in the 19th century with its growing industrial base and is now a major commercial centre.

Ellesmere Port is about eight miles north of Chester and about ten miles south of Birkenhead. The M53 is less than a mile.
