The Humber Valley Resort is set in spectacular surroundings and offers a number of activities including skiing, kayaking, snowmobiling, canoeing, and angling. There is also the Doug Carrick designed 18-hole championship River Course. The Resort offers large and beautifully finished homes on forested lots averaging an acre in size. All chalets have a minimum three-bedroom, three-bathroom design and range in views and amenities.

In 1995 Brian Dobbin, as a keen skier and golfer, envisaged creating a resort that offered a four season selection of adventure and luxury whilst maintaining and enhancing the natural setting of the north end of Deer Lake. The development is accessed by a two-lane private bridge and it is planned to grow the current Resort from 600 acres to over 2500 acres with a second championship golf course, a world class health and beauty spa and a powerboat and sailing marina. The Eagle's Perch Clubhouse and Restaurant, and the Beach House Bar and Restaurant all overlook the sandy beaches of Deer Lake.

Accessible by air, land and sea, Humber Valley Resort is set in the Appalachian Mountain Range of Canada's most easterly province. There is now a weekly direct charter service from Gatwick to Deer Lake, Newfoundland where is is just a twenty minute drive to the Resort.
