Colletta is a medieval hill-top borgo village in the Pennavaire valley a few miles north of the beautiful Ligurian coast and about an hours drive west of Genoa. The village was gradually abandoned by its people and has only recently been restored with the exterior retaining its historic charm and new apartments carved out of the old stone buildings. The restoration has been carried sympathetically keeping the old arching staircases and winding narrow streets revealing modern interiors with high speed internet connections and satellite TV.

Some of the properties front onto small squares whilst others have magnificent views over the olive and cherry terraces of the valley. The communal facilities include a laundry room, sauna and swimming pool. In the village there is also an open-air theatre and cafe.

The village regularly hosts cultural events such as art exhibitions and concerts as well as gastronomic events celebrating the best of Italian food and wine. The area offers many kinds of outdoor activities including excellent walks, cycling and climbing and the Garlenda Golf Course is approximtely fifteen minutes away. Genoa is the maritime capital of Liguria and the country‘s most important port and is famous for its street reputedly the most beautiful in all Itlay.

Colletta di Castlebianca is about eight miles north west of Albenga and the A10 Autostrade. Villanova d‘Albenga Airport is approximately fifteen minutes drive and Genoa Airport about an hours drive. Turin Airport is about two hours away. There is a station at Albenga with good local connections.
