Retirement Properties Spotlight in Prestwick

Kilmarnock : Kilmarnock lies about 20 miles southwest of Glasgow and for much of its history was a farming centre serving the surrounding area. In the late middle ages Dean Castle was enlarged with the building of a Palace but later the whole fell into disrepair following an accidental fire in the 18th century. It was later restored. With the coming of the railways the town expanded considerably in the early 19th century based on textiles and engineering.
