Peebles : Peebles lies on the River Tweed at the confluence of the Tweed and Eddleston water. It is a noted centre for salmon fishing and was a market town for many years and then became a woollen centre and eventually a popular tourist destination. St Andrews Church was built in the late 12th century and destroyed by Henry VIII in the 16th.
