Kelso : Kelso is a market town on the borders of England and Scotland surrounded by beautiful countryside and famous for its fine cobbled square. The town overlooks the River Tweed at its junction with the Teviot and for many years had a magnificent Abbey but this was eventually destroyed in the 16th century. Kelso has one of the oldest racecoures in Britain and two 18 hole golf courses. Floors Castle nearby contains valuable paintings and tapestries.
