Retirement Properties Spotlight in Elgin

Elgin : Elgin is about five miles from the Moray coast at Lossiemouth which came into existence as the port for the inland town. The famous cathedral was largely destroyed by the Wolf Of Badenoch in the 14th century thought the tower didn't finally collapse until the 18th century. Six miles away is Pluscarden Abbey founded in the 13th century and restored by Benedictine monks.

The 7th Earl famously removed the marbles from the Acropolis during the Greek War Of Independence. These were later bought by the country and rest in the British museum.
