Binfield: Binfield lies about six miles due east of Reading and about four miles north-east of Bracknell. It is a village named after 'Open land where the bent-grass grows'. and known as Benetfield in the twelth century. The poet Alexander Pope was a choir boy in All Saints Church which was rebuilt in the fourteenth century. Local shops are nearby and also a bus stop with regular services to Bracknell town centre.
