Congresbury is a village on the A370 between Bristol and Weston-super-Mare. Its name derives from the Welsh saint St Congar who is said to have carried out miracles in the area. Cadbury Hill is a well known Iron Age hill fort nearby and there are beautiful walks along the River Yeo. The village has an active community with several clubs and societies.
Bristol is about ten miles to the north is a thriving industrial and commercial city and although the docks have moved to Avonmouth and Royal Portbury smaller vessels recall the City's maritime past. With a wealth of fine architecture and with excellent leisure and cultural amenities the city remains a magnate for all generations.
Sheppy's Mill was built by Lansdown Developments in 1988 and consists of 23 flats and houses off Smallway in Congresbury.
