Heytesbury is an old village about four miles east of Warminster on the north bank of the Wylye in an area which has evidence of Romano-British settlement. At the time of Domesday eight households were recorded. The church of St Peter and St Paul dates from the 13th century and is a Grade II listed building. The village has two pubs.
