Snodland lies between the River Medway and the North Downs and to the south is Leybourne Lakes Country Park. The M20 is about two miles to the south and the the train station is on the Medway Valley Line with connections to London (St Pancras.
The town expanded considerably in the 19th century but some old houses remain and both Woodlands Farmhouse and Mulberry Cottages on the High Street, originally a classical Wealden hall house, date from the 15th century.
