Hildenborough : Hildenborough lies about three miles north-west of Tonbridge in the Medway valley close to the North Downs. It was an established settlement in the thirteenth century and its name probably derives from 'woodland pasture on or by a hill'. The village once stood on the main A21 trunck road from Sevenoaks to Hastings but is now by-passed. For a time several inns catered to this traffic and later the railway arrived in the mid-19th century. The station is about a mile and a half from the village.
Tonbridge was always an important town with its famous castle guarding the approaches to the River Medway. There are good shops and a monthly farmers market.
The RMC is situated in a 17 acre parkland.
