Narberth : Narberth is a small town in Pembrokshire on the 'Landsker Line' about ten miles east of Haverfordwest. The Landsker Line refers to the boundary that separates the Welsh speaking north from the more anglicized south. The name 'Narberth' comes from 'Castell yn Arberth' and is mentioned in the myths and legends of the Mabinogion, the Welsh folk tales of the 14th century. Just outside the town is Picton Castle built in the 13th centruy and part fortified manor house and half fully developed medieval castle. There are over 40 acres of woodlands to explore in nearly two miles of paths. The castle is open from Easter to the end of September.
