Retirement Properties Spotlight in Dalkeith

Dalkeith : Dalkeith is about seven miles southeast of Edinburgh and lies on the River North Esk. The town grew in the middle ages away from its castle, now Dalkeith Palace, into one of Scotlands largest markets. Dalkeith Parish Church in the High Street became a collegiate establishment in the early 15th century and is now known as The Collegiate Church of St Nicholas Buccleuth. The town was linked with Edinburgh in the early 19th century and this contributed to the building of the largest interior grain market in the whole of Scotland.
