Corton is a small coastal village about three miles north of Lowestoft, a well known holiday resort. The town was once a great fishing port and the 'Scores' are small narrow alleyways leading down to the shore from where the fish houses for curring herrings used to stand. Lowestoft is thought to have originated with a Danish settlement with its name deriving from 'Hlothver's Homestead'. At the time of Domesday it was known as Lothuwistoft. It remains an important fishing port and holiday resort with many places of interest to visit nearby.
Facilities include resident management and emergency alarm service and garden.
