Porlock is an old village mentioned in Domesday as Portloc and is situated five miles west of Minehead and north of Exmoor National Park. It adjoins the Porlock Ridge and Saltmarsh nature reserve. The area is associated with the Romantic poets with both Wordsworth and Coleridge living nearby. The Coleridge Way ends in Porlock.
