Dulverton is a very attractive small market town on the River Barle with one of the oldest medieval bridges on Exmoor. It has a range of busy shops, tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and a well-known book shop. The beautiful 15th century church of All Saints is a Grade II Listed building. Tarr Steps is an ancient clapper bridge nearby upstream of Dulverton and you can cross the ford by car provided you have a good driver and the river isn't too swollen.
