Retirement Properties Spotlight in Castle Cary

Castle Cary is an old market town with many fine buildings including several 19th century shop-fronts.The boundaries of the old castle can still be seen though the castle itself was abandoned in the 15th century. The Monarch's Way, a long distance footpath, follows Charles II's escape route from the Battle of Worcester in the 17th century and passes through the town. Today the town is well known as the main station for the Glastonbury Festival.
