Retirement Properties Spotlight in Bathampton

Bathampton : Bathampton is a small village lying just south of the A4 below the river and adjacent the canal. The quarries on Bathampton Downs provided stone for many houses in Bath. Perhaps the villages' most famous resident was Ralph Allen who acquired Bathampton Manor by marriage and did much to embellish the city of Bath in the eighteenth century making it a major health and social centre.
