Retirement Properties Spotlight in Longstanton

Longstanton was mentioned in Domesday. It is situated about six miles northwest of Cambridge and was originally two villages. It expanded quite considerably in the 1940s with the RAF having a base here and the population is still rising with further housing developments. There are some shops and the recreation ground has areas for various sports.The Pathfinder March each year commemorates the reconnaissance squadrons based at nearby RAF Oakington.
