Comberton is an old village mentioned in Domesday as Bertone and in part belonged to the King. There are a number of thatched cottages and 16th, 17th and 18th century houses as well as a village pond. It lies about six miles southwest of Cambridge close to the Prime Meridian. It has shops and an active community with Comberton Village College allowing the village to use its squash courts, tennis and badminton courts as well as a floodlit astroturf pitch.
