Retirement Properties Spotlight in Mill Hill

Mill Hill : Mill Hill derives its name from 'hill with a windmill' and is set high on its green ridge with old weather-boarded cottages lining its streets. It is one of London's most attractive residential areas and its status was confirmed when Mill Hill station was opened on the Great Northern Line in 1867. Mill Hill has a famous public school founded in the early nineteenth century by non-conformist merchants afraid that any closer to London pupils might fall foul of the delights of the city. Today there are still attractive rural walks nearby on Hadley Common and Enfield Chase.
