Retirement Properties Spotlight in Blackfriars

Blackfriars is a famous landmark on the north bank of the Thames in central London and is thought to be where the Romans came and later developed in the middle ages when the Priory was founded in the 13th century. The monastery was later destroyed but its Great Hall survived and became a theatre for Shakespeare before being devoured in the Great Fire of London in the 17th century. The Victoria Embankment runs along the Thames from Blackfriars to Westminster and Blackfriars station connects with the City of London.
