Retirement Property & Retirement Homes in Belvedere
Bexley : The London Borough of Bexley consists of many former villages and hamlets with a recorded history dating back to the early ninth century. Sidcup was once a 'few straggling cottages' situated along the Maidstone Road plus an inn, the Black Horse. Bexley itself grew up around the River Cray and its manor remained the property of several Archbishops of Canterbury until the 17th century when the historian William Camden bequeathed it to the University of Oxford. There is still a street and hostelry named after him.
