Clitheroe is dominated by Pendle Hill long associated with the trial of women for witchcraft. The town has the remains of a Norman castle reputedly with the smallest keep in England. The surrounding countryside is full of attractive villages and places to see from Browsholme Hall to the north and Whalley Abbey and ‘Roman‘ Ribchester to the south. There are wonderful walks in the Forest of Bowland and nearby are the Yorkshire Dales, Grassington and Settle.
Facilities include non-resident management and emergency alarm service.
