Kingerby is a small village about five miles northwest of Market Rasen. St Peters Church dates from the 11th century and is a Grade II listed building. Nearby Kingerby Hall dating from the 19th century lies on the site of an older manor house and a Norman castle.
Market Rasen was mentioned as Rase in Domesday and is well known for its weekly market. It has a busy high street with many independent shops, retailers and a variety of restaurants. It is set on the Lincolnshire Wolds surrounded by beautiful countryside with many excellent walks easily reached from the town centre. The River Rase runs through the town and the local golf course and borders the racecourse to the southeast. Lincoln is about 12 miles to the southwest.
