Fernhurst : Fernhurst is an attractive Sussex village surrounded by beautiful countryside on the South Downs midway between Haslemere and Midhurst. In the sixteenth century the village was well established and still surrounded by woodland noted by Speed in his Tudor Atlas. Today the village is on the main A286 Chichester Road and there are many interesting places to visit nearby including Lurgashall Winery beneath Blackdown, the highset point in Sussex and Ebernoe Common.
