Verwood in the 14th Century Fairwoode was owned by the Bello Bosco Family and by the 19th Century was one of nine small hamlets of Cranborne with a total population of a little over 2,500. Today it is a thriving community with a farmer‘s market held four times a year at Ferret Green.
