Feltham : Feltham is about 13 miles south-west of Central London and is an ancient settlement originally known as Spelthorne. The town was a major market gardening centre supplying the growing population of London and its legacy is a large number of open spaces. Hounslow Heath is a country park formed from connected gravel pits. In the 20th century the town was associated with the transport industry and Feltham railway station has services to Waterloo, Windsor and Reading.
