Retirement Properties Spotlight in Skelmanthorpe

Huddersfield : Huddersfield is a large town near the confluence of the River Colne and River Holme and is well known for its fine Victorian architecture. There has been a settlement here for many years and the town was mentioned in Domesday as Odresfield. Huddersfield was an important centre for textile production in the 18th and 19th centuries and the Museum of Hand Tools has many artefacts relating to the cloth industry. The Art Gallery has works by LS Lowry, Turner and Constable.
